W+K NY Takes World-class Design to Upper East Side for Cooper Hewitt Museum

The Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum and Wieden+Kennedy New York have collaborated on a new campaign featuring a series of digital and OOH posters to celebrate the museum's recent reopening.​ ​

Everyone expects New York City to have world-class design. But no one expects New York City ​​to have world-class design on the Upper East Side. When the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum reopened its doors for the first time in three years after undergoing an extensive renovation,​ W+K set out to remind New Yorke​​r​​s​ ​that the center of design is on the Upper East Side.​  ​

Playing up this somewhat surprising truth, the OOH will be placed in some of NYC's more frequently thought​ ​of design hotspots, letting residents know where the pinnacle of NYC design really is.​  ​
