Vagabond Launches Production Servicing Operations in Mexico
Vagabond is delighted to announce their arrival in Mexico, extending their production service offering in North America. Andres Herran has been appointed to head up the film production network’s new office.
Andres comments ‘I think there’s a real Mexican hype within the industry. In recent years we’ve had Oscar winning Directors and DOPs coming out of Mexico, and we have great people in the film industry who are really putting Mexico on the map. They’re raising the bar!’
‘Mexico is wonderful place for shooting as there are amazing locations all across the country. There are paradisiacal beaches and cosmopolitan cities, not to mention the deserts, the rainforest and the wonderful colonial era architecture. We’re also just a couple of hours away from the US.’
Vagabond will now be offering a full range of production services and be providing full production support in what is proving to be an increasingly popular territory to shoot in.
Andres says ‘We strive to offer the best equipment at the most competitive rates, and we make sure that the rates we offer on our rental properties are always up to date. The Dollar-Peso exchange rate is massively beneficial at the moment because right now it offers great value, you can get a lot more for less.’
‘Whilst our services will cater for all of your needs in terms of production, we also ensure that everybody feels at home, we’re here to be your friends too!’
Andres was born and raised in Mexico, and has worked as a Producer on all kinds of previous productions, including; advertising, TV, film, music videos, shows, concerts, festivals and tours.
Andres comments ‘I already knew the Vagabond team as I’d met Lorenzo (Benedick, Vagabond Partner) a few years ago whilst on a job in Mexico. It’s a beautiful, diverse location for shooting, and I think that Vagabond and Mexico are a natural fit. Vagabond have a wonderful understanding of the international production industry, the needs of international clients and a reputation for great communications.’
