UK Music+Sound Awards Announces Deadline Extension
Due to overwhelming demand for extra time, the entry deadline for 2016’s UK Music+Sound Awards has been extended to Midnight (GMT), Friday 18th December.
Dan Neale, Co-founder of the Music+Sound Awards, comments, “We’re thrilled that the response to this year’s Awards has been so overwhelming. We want to ensure that everyone interested in entering the awards this year has sufficient time to submit and we hope that extending the deadline will help with this”. He goes on to say, “The Awards continue to provide a stamp of approval from leading industry professionals across the disciplines they reward and offer the incredible wealth of talent out there their moment in the limelight.”
Any advertising, film or TV project over the past year that has been significantly enhanced by its music or sound design is an ideal candidate for submission. The thirty-one categories successfully acknowledge all areas of the industry and fall into five areas: Best Original Composition, Best Sound Design, Best Sync, Best Re-Records + Adaptations and Best Use of Production Music.
MD, Emma Maguire, says: “Our ceremonies provide those that supply and those that buy music and sound design a place and occasion to mingle and celebrate together. The delegate list at last year’s event was like a who’s who of London’s production, advertising and music industries. It was great to see so many people meeting, talking, celebrating and genuinely feeling proud of what they do for a living through the Music+Sound Awards.”
Once again the music and sound design industries have given their support to this event with sponsorship coming from heavyweights such as Wave Studios, SIREN, Native, Jungle Studios, Yellow Boat Music, Factory Studios, Yellow Technology, Universal Production Music, Scramble, PRS for Music, Imagem and Wave Music.
