Soho Music Hires Daniel Payne and Nell Bassral
Daniel has been appointed as the new Head of Music Supervision and Licensing at Soho Music. With 20 years of experience in the music business, including working for global publishers such as Universal Music Publishing, recording companies and music supervision agencies, it goes without saying that Payne brings a lot to the table.
Among many achievements Dan was responsible for acquiring and retaining the Mars account as Creative Account Manager alongside his role Head of Licensing during his 7 years at Soundlounge. More recently his experience and success has led him to work with Soundtree and Red Moth Music, developing their creative and licensing divisions. With his successful track record in delivering added value to creative agencies and their clients, he moves on to develop the Music Supervision department at Soho Music.

Nell joins as Soho Music’s newest recruit as the Marketing and New Business executive for the UK market. Prior to moving musicwards Nell worked agency side at BBH for the past three years, with her concluding role being Assistant producer on the British Airways account. With agency & production knowledge teamed with having previously worked at various music venues it was an easy decision in welcoming her to the Soho Music family where she’ll be supporting the New Business Director Marilou Bakkenist.
Soho Music specialises in sync, licensing and bespoke music for brands and advertising agencies such as: WK, BBH, JWT, Saatchi & Saatchi, Ogilvy & VCCP. With Nell and Dan coming from varied backgrounds of music and advertising Soho Music see’s big things on the horizon for the newly expanded team.
