Seven Sunday Films Goes to Tokyo for Gudam Garang Mild
Traveling to a new country is always an adventure and can be very intimidating, especially if you don’t speak the language. Blending spontaneity and the quest to be different in the latest 45 seconds for Gudam Garang Mild, Seven Sunday Films and agency Dentsu Strat travel to Tokyo to produce, 'Let’s Get Lost'.
This exciting spot opens with the camera panning over the busy downtown Tokyo, as three tourists snap photos when they decide to spin a bottle to choose their next destination when they don’t understand the language.
The Seven Sundays team then captures their trip escalating quickly as they enter a dance club complete with vivid neon lights and massive dancing robots.
Utilising all of the amazing culture Tokyo has to offer, the crew continues to take the audience on a thrilling journey as the group experiences challenges deciphering road maps and restaurant menus.
Closing out the spot with a daunting Sumo wrestler eyeing one of the visitors, Seven Sunday Film creates the idea of pushing the limit perfectly as they embrace a different civilisation.
Saifful said of the experience, “I’ve always loved Tokyo, and it’s a beautiful place to shoot with a strong sense of culture, vibrancy and respect. But it’s also a difficult place for a film crew to get access to with any freedom, so it all took all of our cunning to get the locations we wanted in the face of at times seemingly insurmountable obstacles. If the first answer was a no, we just had to ask the same question another way.”
