Optegra Has Global Growth in Sight as it Appoints Doner
Optegra, the UK’s largest group of dedicated private ophthalmic hospitals, has appointed Doner as its creative agency of record, following a competitive pitch.
Doner will be working across consumer and professional communications including TV, branded content, social and ECRM, encompassing regional and national campaigns.
Doner has been tasked with supporting Optegra in its ambition to build an international eye care group, raising awareness and driving lead generation, while leveraging Optegra’s new global brand positioning.
Optegra has 24 eye hospitals across Europe and China, which bring together leading edge research and top ophthalmic surgeons renowned for their medical expertise to offer the highest levels of clinical care. In 2015 growing self-pay treatments and increasing GP/PMI referrals will also be a primary focus for the group.
Doner Managing Director, Andrew Hawkins, commented: “Optegra is a great business with ambitious targets. In a growing sector, Optegra has seized the opportunity to really leverage its position as a market leader and it’s exciting to work with a brand that has such a clear strategy and a desire to shake up the sector.”
Baba Awopetu, Optegra’s Group Strategy & Marketing Director, said: “These are exciting times for Optegra. There is a real desire to take the business to the next level and not only raise awareness of the brand, but deliver significant business growth. We are looking forward to working with Doner, who proved they understand the challenges we face.”
The appointment builds on Doner’s healthcare portfolio, which includes MSD Animal Health and Invisalign.
