Ogilvy & Geometry Global Japan Celebrate International Award Wins
Ogilvy & Mather Japan (Ogilvy) and Geometry Global Japan are celebrating major successes at two prestigious, international creative industry awards. In total, the agencies picked up five awards at the Designers & Art Directors Awards (D&AD) in London and another three at the One Show in New York.
At the high-profile D&ADs, Ogilvy and Geometry Global Japan scooped five Pencils including, two coveted White Pencils in the Integrated and Outdoor categories for campaigns delivered for ADOT.com and Yaocho Bars respectively, as well as other Pencils in the Branded Entertainment, Crafts for Advertising and Direct categories. These successes for the group in Japan made them the number one most awarded office across the Ogilvy group in Asia Pacific and joint first overall in the whole global network.
The Japan offices also enjoyed success at The One Show which recognises international excellence in advertising, innovation and creative thinking. Ogilvy Japan was awarded a Bronze Pencil for the distinctive “Condomania Packed Couple” campaign in the Photography category for Sea Road International Corporation. This short documentary featured as part of a larger campaign promoting fun and safe sex which also captured the highly-coveted front cover of Luerzer’s Archive – the first agency in Japan to achieve this in five years.
In addition, the Integrated Public Service “Lights” campaign for ADOT.com aimed at raising awareness of homelessness and the Experiential Advertising “Sleeping Drunk Billboards” campaign for Yaocho Bars highlighting the dangers of binge drinking, were both awarded Pencils.
