Mindshare UK Hires Neil Bruce as New Head of Mobile
Mindshare UK has hired Somo’s Neil Bruce as Head of Mobile, to build on the agency’s integration of mobile technology, data and targeting into clients’ communications strategies. Bruce replaces James Chandler, who recently moved into a newly-created role as Global Mobile Director for Mindshare.
Bruce will report directly to Nick Adams, Head of Digital Development at Mindshare UK, and will sit within the strategy team. He will also develop new exclusive relationships for Mindshare UK in the mobile space and work within Mindshare’s global network of mobile specialists
He joins from Somo, a specialist mobile performance agency, where he led client services for their connected customer marketing division across Paddy Power, blinkbox by Tesco, Sky and Shop Direct.
Prior to Somo, Bruce worked at OMD International and Starcom Mediavest Group, where he developed his approach to mobile as a key way to augment the wider communications mix.
Nick Adams said, “Mobile is already a significant part of Mindshare’s business and with Neil’s appointment we are well placed to expand further in to new strategic growth areas within the mobile space. Neil has a real passion for the power of mobile technology to enhance the communications mix, and he brings fantastic experience of working across several mobile performance brands which will further add to our specialist knowledge.”
Bruce said, “Seeing the work that Mindshare has done to grow its mobile services in the context of an integrated media offering convinced me that this is the place to be to invent the future of mobile marketing.”
