Agency launches second phase of 'It's On Us' campaign

Mekanism & The Whitehouse Target Bystanders for Generation Progress PSA

In September, Mekanism & the White House teamed up with Generation Progress, and leaders from colleges and universities, media companies, the sports world and grassroots organizations to launch a new public awareness campaign called “It’s On Us,” which is focused on mobilizing all members of campus communities to prevent sexual assault. The campaign is part of the ongoing commitment that President Obama and Vice President Biden have to ensuring that all of us – both men and women – are part of the solution.

These new announcements come as colleges and universities across the country are preparing to make November 17-21 a “National Week of Action” to mobilize students on campuses across the country to get involved in “It’s On Us.” To date, over 34 schools have put together PSAs to unveil as part of this week of action, and colleges and universities have planned more than 130 events across the country. White House and Administration officials are planning to travel to campuses to take part in these events.
