Soho music production company composes new station identity for all 39 stations

Mcasso Music Brings a New Sound to BBC Local Radio

Today, Mcasso Music’s new sound for the BBC Local Radio Network has been unveiled by the freshly renamed BBC Radio London.

The Soho based music production company has composed the music for all 39 stations on the network, with each station introducing their new musical identity from October 2015.

Mcasso’s winning creative team have developed hundreds of cuts around a new 6-note logo, all composed to reflect the varying styles of music heard across the BBC network.

Mike Connaris, Mcasso CEO says, "We were obviously delighted to be working again with the BBC Local Radio team. We developed a new logo to be used in all the cuts and recorded with the extraordinary BBC National Orchestra of Wales in Cardiff and the BBC Big Band at Angel Studios London, before mixing and mastering all the tracks at Mcasso’s studios.  We're really looking forward to hearing the new branding on air from October."

Featuring a wide range of styles the package is designed for use across all programmes including Breakfast, News, Sport, Community and Music.

Listeners will be able to hear the new theme for all stations from October, or can listen to a selection of Mcasso’s work for BBC Local Radio on their website at Mcasso.com.
