London International Awards Announces 2019 Winners

Today, London International Awards announces its winners in the Advertising, Design, Digital, Technology, Health & Pharma, and Branded Entertainment categories.  

Created for creatives, LIA has the highest calibre of jurors in all disciplines. LIA’s Annual judging which convened over a 10-day period at Encore Las Vegas has concluded and listed below are the Statue Winners and Finalists.

In total, 531 LIA statues and 196 Finalists were awarded from 39 countries with the United States leading with 242 awards, followed by Germany with 86 and the United Kingdom with 78.

The United Kingdom brought home 65 of the coveted LIA statues and attained six finalists - four Grand LIAs, 20 Gold, 17 Silver, and 24 Bronze.    
 
“Four Grand LIAs. What a wonderful achievement! The creative community has always looked up to English advertising. Our heartiest congratulations to our Grand LIA winners and all the other winners across all media,” said Barbara Levy, president of LIA.
 
BBDO was named Regional Network of the Year for Europe. AMV BBDO contributed to BBDO’s success being awarded 15 Statues; three Grand LIAs, six Gold, two Silver and four Bronze. The Grand LIAs were awarded in Health & Wellness, Health & Wellness – Craft and TV/Cinema/Online Film for Essity Libresse/Bodyform titled 'Viva La Vulva'.

Liz Taylor, global CCO at Leo Burnett / North America CCO Publicis Groupe, Chicago and LIA TV/Cinema/Online Film Juror commented on choosing the Grand: “I was so passionate for the Grand LIA for ‘Viva La Vulva’ for so many reasons. It is one of the most well-crafted pieces of film. I think to reward a piece of work and the effort behind it to really advance how clients view creativity and push their thinking. To send a message to brands to show this is the bar we need to do to drive your business forward through creativity.”

McCann Worldgroup was named the Global Network of the Year having the highest point score of all Networks across the globe. Five UK companies, McCann London, McCann Europe, McCann Health, Um, Birmingham, and Mccann Milton Keynes contributed to this prestigious award.

Silver - The NEW - Creative Technology for Alzheimer's Society titled 'My Carer'
Bronze - Digital - UX - User Experience for Alzheimer's Society titled 'My Carer'

McCann Health was awarded a Silver LIA:
Silver - Health & Wellness - Devices and Diagnostics for OCO Optometrist titled 'Urban Eye Test'

Somesuch was named Regional Production Company of the Year for Europe being credited for work that won two companies a total of 13 statues. 

The Regional Post-Production Company of the Year for Europe was awarded to Time Based Arts, London. In addition to their Statue win they were credited for winning work entered by AMV BBDO.     

Time Based Arts was awarded one Bronze LIA:
Bronze - Production & Post-Production - Visual Effects for Three titled 'Phones Are Good'

FCB Inferno was named Regional Agency of the Year for Europe; they were also awarded a Grand LIA by the Branded Entertainment for Huawei titled 'StorySign'.

750 MPH, London was awarded the Global Music & Sound Company of the Year having the highest point score of all Music & Sound companies across the globe. They were also named also named Regional Music & Sound Company of the Year for Europe In addition to their statue wins they were credited for winning work entered by three companies. AMV BBDO, Ogilvy London and Time Based Arts - London brought home a combined 17 statues that 750 MPH worked on.

750 MPH were also awarded a Gold LIA:
