Rachael comes on board as Head of Communications at LBB Lab

Little Black Book Welcomes Former Y&R Global Communications Manager Rachael Delahunty

Little Black Book Online (LBB) has announced the appointment of Rachael Delahunty as Head of Communications at LBB Lab, effective immediately. The move marks the successful growth of the company, which has evolved from its original offering as a one-stop global news source for the advertising industry, to a larger multi-service business.

Formerly Global Communications Manager at Y&R, Rachael will be responsible for running LBB Lab, an area of the business that has expanded rapidly since its launch last year. Created to help post houses, production companies and music companies with their daily PR needs, the Lab has swiftly expanded its client base to become a comprehensive content generating limb of the company, producing and delivering brand strategies for advertising agencies.

“We realised a while back, through the growth of our own site and the number of users viewing our original content, that the service we provide is more important than ever. We have all been talking about the business of advertising being global for years, and now it really is,” said CEO and Founder of LBB, Matt Cooper.

“But it wasn’t until our clients came to us looking for help in creating the narrative they wanted to share, that we realised we could offer much more than a platform and editorial content. The Lab was created to help the smaller companies that lacked PR experience but has rapidly grown to service well-known ad agencies that see the unique value of the Lab as a communications partner.

“All of our clients want fame, of course, and now we are best placed to give it to them; from developing a company story and brand strategy, to delivering the right content across multiple channels. And importantly – we remove the stress, allowing them to get on with their day-jobs and service their own clients effectively.”

Of the new hire, Cooper added: “We could not be more pleased to have Rachael join the team and bring her global-agency expertise to our offering. All of our clients will benefit from her appointment, as she helps us meet the needs of our expanding business, and leads the Lab into its next stage of growth. Rachael will also oversee LBB’s own communications, which to date has relied on the popularity of the site and organic growth of the business. This is particularly crucial as we are soon to launch a new version of the site, and have spent considerable time understanding what SEO [search engine optimisation] can really do for us.”

Rachael started her career as a Law Reporter before practising as a Criminal Barrister in the UK. She later joined WPP in New York, then moved to Y&R’s Global Team, where she managed global communications and projects. Rachael later returned to London in 2014, retaining her global role at Y&R with a focus on EMEA.

“I am thrilled to be joining such a great team, at such an exciting time,” said Rachael. “LBB is on an exciting growth trajectory and I see many new opportunities for us to help our clients and evolve into an essential business partner.”
