Landor Wins Cannes Lions in Design & Branding
lobal strategic brand consulting and design firm, Landor, announced the winning of five Bronze Lions in the design category at the 2015 Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
The agency won three awards for its work for Wait, a new tea brand, and two for Fedora, the European Circle of Philanthropists of Opera and Ballet. In addition to its wins, Wait was shortlisted another three times. Landor’s branding for World Trade Center was also shortlisted in the design category.

“Our five Lions are the most we have won to date in a single year and each year our branding work continues to get even greater recognition. These accolades inspire us to go even further in developing the most innovative and agile brands for our clients,” he said.

Landor worked with Wait to develop a new tea brand with a clear and differentiated positioning. The brand addresses a common, modern-day problem: a lack of free time. Wait encourages customers to take a break—“the ultimate luxury”—by waiting for their tea to steep. That down time is made enjoyable with intricate package illustrations and a smartphone app that shows animations of the infusion time.
The Fedora brand represents how its patron’s donations nurture new talents. While its logo is a stylised staircase leading to a stage, its visual language is inspired by the foot strokes of dancers.
