GSD&M Appoints Kris & Alisa Wixom as Group Creative Directors

GSD&M today announced the appointment of Kris and Alisa Wixom as group creative directors, effective immediately. The husband and wife team will bring their creative chops to GSD&M’s roster of Fortune 500 clients. The 7-time Cannes Lions winners have worked together for 16 years in what they call “a harmonious union of marriage, creativity and hair products.”

In these two newly created roles, the Wixom’s will work across GSD&M’s client base, leading creative teams to solve client business problems in a creative and meaningful way. The duo will report directly to Jay Russell, GSD&M’s Chief Creative Officer.

“We never miss the opportunity to bring amazing talent on board,” stated Russell. “Kris and Alisa are an energetic, super-smart team with an incredible history of creating memorable work on every account they’ve touched. They will no doubt inspire their teams to develop truly impactful creative.”

Hailing from TBWA Chiat\Day New York as global creative directors, the Wixom’s worked on award-winning campaigns for Absolut Vodka, Skittles and Jameson Whiskey, among others. The pair got their start at Lyon Advertising in Austin and also held stints at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, Fallon Minneapolis and BBH New York. Their client experience includes iconic work for brands like Budweiser, Brawny and Levi’s, with accolades from Cannes Lions, D&AD, Effie, and One Show Awards. Additionally, the Wixom’s garnered an Emmy Award commercial nomination for its Absolut Vodka’s “Anthem” spot.

“We were drawn to GSD&M’s unstoppable momentum and look forward to delivering unique creative work for their clients,” said Kris Wixom. “You couldn’t find a more fun, funnier or nicer group of people,” Alisa Wixom added. “We’re excited to dive in at the agency and become part of this quickly-growing community.”
