Fold7 Channels an Ian Dury Classic for New Gumtree Campaign

The UK’s largest classifieds website, launches its new above the line campaign focussing on the ease of buying and selling through its online platform. 

Inspired by the 1979 hit ‘Reasons to be Cheerful’ by Ian Dury and the Blockheads, Gumtree’s 30-second TV spot features a huge range of products available on the site ending with the line ‘Reasons to use Gumtree, 1,2,3’, a reference to the three steps to sell an item ‘Snap. Click. Kerching.’ which demonstrates taking a photo of the item being sold, posting an advert on Gumtree and making the sale.

The new above the line campaign, created by Fold7, comes straight after Gumtree’s successful run as sponsors of the latest season of Celebrity Big Brother on Channel 5.
