DDB Named Best New Zealand Agency at AWARD Awards
Following the success at Axis last week, DDB has added even more metal to the trophy cabinet with more gongs being picked up at the prestigious AWARD show, including being named the best New Zealand agency.
Straight off the back of being named Axis’ Creative Agency of the Year, DDB picked up one gold, seven silver and seven bronze at AWARD last night, picking up more than double the metal of any New Zealand agency.
DDB won awards for Bring Down the King, Steinlager Deep Dive, YWCA and Speight’s, plus SKY TV were also named the fourth best Client of the Year.
On top of the success at AWARD, Nick Dellabarca and Liz Richards, who took out the Best Emerging Talent prize at Axis, were awarded a silver Integrated gong for their We Compost campaign at the Young Guns awards earlier this week. Rory McKechnie also took home a bronze for Bring Down the King in the Promotions category.
DDB’s CEO Justin Mowday says, “The latest wins at AWARD and Young Guns top off what’s been an exciting month for our agency."
“Starting with being named New Zealand’s Creative Agency of the Year, as well as having our young creative talent recognised is just fantastic. We have a team of really passionate creative people doing amazing work for our clients and it’s great to be recognised in the industry, cementing our place as New Zealand’s best agency. I couldn’t be more proud of our team,” he added.
Damon Stapleton, DDB chief creative officer, who attended the AWARD show in Australia with judge, Rory McKechnie, is equally thrilled, “AWARD is a notoriously tough regional show to do well at, but to win gold, and 14 other awards, is awesome. We were the number one NZ agency and third overall, which when added to being AOTY at Axis is a great result going forward.”
