CHI&Partners Wins iD & Services Briefs with Dixons Carphone Group

CHI&Partners has won two integrated briefs with Dixons Carphone Group. The agency, which has run the advertising for Carphone Warehouse since 2001, has been appointed to work on the services brands across the group, as well as launching Dixons Carphone’s first ever mobile network, iD.

CHI&Partners will line up a comprehensive programme of fully-integrated communications to target customers across the combined businesses for both briefs.

The services brief will see the agency raise awareness of Dixons Carphone’s 24/7 service brands – including Carphone Warehouse’s ‘Geek Squad’ and Dixons’ ‘Knowhow’ – which provide personalised end-to-end solutions across the group’s product range.

The iD consumer launch, meanwhile, will mark a new breakthrough for the group – highlighting its competitive new 4G mobile network, tailored to individual customers to offer maximum flexibility and control for an optimised, app-controlled customer experience.

Nick Howarth, CEO at CHI&Partners, said: “We’ve grown very close to the Carphone Warehouse brand over the years, and feel we’ve grown up alongside it, as one of our founding clients. We’re delighted to now be working with the integrated Dixons Carphone Group, particularly on two briefs which will significantly reinforce the brand’s appeal for connected consumers. We hope these will be the first of many briefs for Dixons Carphone.”

Julian Diment, Marketing Director at Carphone Warehouse, said: “Launching iD is an important moment for us, and an agile marketing strategy is needed to deliver the impact we are looking for amongst a broad audience of digitally-savvy consumers.”

Gary Booker, CMO at Dixons Retail, said: “As customers become even more connected and technology becomes more central to their lives, it’s vital that we continue to deliver the best possible range of services, helpful advice, and support to meet all their needs. We will be working with CHI&Partners to help us bring to life the real difference that service brands such as ‘Geek Squad’ and ‘Knowhow’ can make across these areas for all our customers.”
