Cheil PengTai and Tencent Announce Partnership for South Korea and Hong Kong

Cheil PengTai has joined Tencent Holdings Limited (“Tencent”, SEHK: 00700) in the goal of delivering new digital marketing opportunities to businesses as they enter in the Chinese market. 

Tencent signed the service agreement with Cheil PengTai China Digital at the Marketing Conference held in Seoul on November 17. 

Under the agreement Cheil PengTai will become an authorized agency for all-platform advertising services for Tencent, and offer all-related services and marketing solutions to companies in South Korea and Hong Kong entering the China market. Moreover, Cheil PengTai will launch various campaigns leveraging Tencent’s multiple web and mobile channels to provide more effective advertising options and channels for customers.  

Cheil PengTai has now built strong connections with China’s leading IT companies in social media, portal and e-commerce through its partnership with Tencent, Baidu and JD Worldwide. Recently, Cheil PengTai won ‘Best Agency of the Year’ at 2015 China International Advertising Festival (CIAF) held by China 4A Advertising Association, adding another title as the leading digital marketing company in China.

China Digital Marketing Conference is an event which Cheil PengTai has been hosting in Korea since 2010 to share business strategies to enter Chinese market and to share marketing trends with Korean companies. This marks its 7th event which was held at Gangnam Novotel Ambassador Hotel on November 17th. 

Along with the announcement of the partnership between two companies, digital marketing experts from Cheil PengTai and Tencent shared social media marketing trends in China and best practices using Tencent’s services at the conference.
