BUG Presents 25 Years of the Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors' Showcase at the BFI

On Thursday 9th July the legendary British Film Institute (BFI) on London’s Southbank, will be the venue for a special show curated by BUG that celebrates the Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors’ Showcase.  The unique event will be hosted by comedian Adam Buxton, and feature many classic videos, ads and rarities carefully curated from the New Directors’ Showcase (NDS) archive spanning a quarter century and will offer a unique selection of films, promos and commercials created by some of the best directors of the past 25 years.  The purpose of this event is to focus on the rich history of the NDS archive, rather than the 2015 reel and film shown at Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity.

Every year since 1991, Saatchi & Saatchi has presented its selection of the best in global new directing talent at Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity - advertising’s biggest festival. Now BUG – the big screen home of music video creativity – presents a special show of some of this great work featured over 25 years of the Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors' Showcase.

Comedian and regular BUG host Adam Buxton will present a show chock-full of imperishable music video classics and rarely-seen gems (and even a few ads) by some of the biggest directors of the past quarter century – and also offer some priceless online reaction to these seminal moments of creativity. Not a show to be missed.  Adam Buxton commented:  "BUG is honoured to celebrate the eminent good taste and judgment of the Saatchi & Saatchi New Directors' Showcase with our special show featuring some of the classic work by amazing directors selected for the NDS down the years."

The event is sponsored by Corbis, a leading digital content and worldwide entertainment rights company founded by Bill Gates. You can purchase your tickets here.
