Benjamin Bourinat Appointed Director of Public Relations at Sopexa USA

Sopexa Group, a leading marketing agency for food, beverage and lifestyle brands, today announced the appointment of Benjamin Bourinat to the role of Director of Public Relations, Sopexa USA.  Benjamin will be responsible for leading the development of client public relations and social media campaigns, as well as strategic partnerships and integrations that respond to the growing demand for premium brands to tell more diverse stories through a variety of platforms.

Originally created by the government of France to promote French gastronomy overseas, Sopexa Group went private in 2009 and has since grown to count global offices in 26 countries and clients including trade organizations like Wines of France, and most French wine regions, as well as Italian wine regions, Wines of Argentina and Wines of Chile, but also Cognac, Cheeses of France and other major food commodity boards such as Avocados from Mexico.  Other regional clients include premium food brands like Eurial and Maille/Unilever, as well as Bagatelle restaurants and Club Med resorts.

Benjamin joins Sopexa from Omnicom, where he was most recently Manager of Corporate Communications, driving brand positioning, public relations, and field marketing efforts for the holding company.  He has also held strategic communications positions at Interpublic Group, Havas, as well as various government-owned and political organizations, including François Hollande’s 2012 presidential campaign team.

“With his proven track record for innovation and his commitment to organizational growth and productivity, we are excited to welcome Benjamin to Sopexa, where he will be essential in helping to amplify the messages of our clients and affect consumer perception at a pivotal time of regional growth for the agency,” said Pauline Oudin, Managing Director, Sopexa USA, to whom Benjamin will report directly.

Benjamin Bourinat, Director of Public Relations, Sopexa USA, said: “Sopexa’s legacy of savoir-faire and cultural sensitivity is an unparalleled asset for any lifestyle, food and beverage marketer in the USA.  The agency offers strong creative, strong planning, and high-impact opportunities for premium brands to engage with American tastemakers and consumers.  I am thrilled to join such a smart, talented team of trendsetters.”
