A Media Sales Account Director is needed to take up a pivotal role within a leading global media group. Working with key accounts, you will sell media space on renowned sites such as CNET, LastFM, GameSpot and more (50 / 50 split between new business and account management).

With over 280 million people visiting their websites globally each month, this international firm is the world’s largest premier online content network for information and entertainment. Having the ability to reach 19% of the world’s population, they own an unparalleled collection of industry leading sites. This is a unique opportunity to join a friendly news organisation in a lively environment.

Working closely with the Sales Director as a Media Sales Account Director, you will develop sales plans and revenue forecasts where appropriate for the relevant vertical of sites. Situated right at the forefront of the business, expect to take up an exciting and varied role that involves developing & pitching advertising solutions to clients, account management, managing a team, securing new business, building partnerships / new revenue streams plus much more.

To qualify... This role is ideally suited to a Sales Account Director / Senior Account Manager / Media Sales Director / Sales Manager or similar who can demonstrate:

  • The ability to work under pressure;
  • Leadership skills;
  • An understanding of strong team working dynamic and the ability to work effectively as part of that team;
  • The ability to sell conceptually and consult with the client’s direct;
  • The ability to be creative and adaptable in a dynamic entrepreneurial environment;
  • Great communication skills – externally and internally, upwards and downwards;
  • Strong attention to detail in proposals, rate calculations and forecasting.
