A Graduate Editor / Editorial Assistant is needed to fill an entry-level role within one of the world’s largest independent financial publishers. This vibrant role will see you ensure a consistent and high quality level of email delivery is maintained and relevant content is uploaded to the website.

Our client is an independent publisher of newsletters, books, reports, journals, websites and blogs relating to the financial markets. Their aim is to engage their readers and customers with market analysis and commentary and help them to make informed decisions about their own finances.

Reporting to the Editor, you will join as a Graduate Editor / Editorial Assistant who can prepare and send HTML email newsletters, subscription services and product updates on a daily basis. In addition to this, you will upload content to the website as well as social media accounts and ensure it is optimised to get maximum exposure. In short, expect a diverse role which will see you support and learn from an experienced editorial team whilst monitoring promotional campaigns to ensure a great ROI.

To qualify... We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented Graduate Editor / Editorial Assistant / Web Content Editor / Content Production Editor / Copy Editor who can demonstrate:

  • A degree education (2.1 or higher);
  • A strong command of English, including the ability to quickly spot and correct grammatical and typographical errors;
  • The ability to work to tight deadlines and manage workload independently;
  • An understanding of or willingness to learn HTML coding and CSS;
  • An active interest in writing;
  • A desire to learn about financial markets – in particular trading and investment;
  • A desire to develop an understanding of direct response marketing;
  • The ability to work well with the editorial and marketing team.

Although this role is primarily an administrative position, you will be encouraged to take part in editorial discussions and share your ideas whilst being given the opportunity to learn about writing, both for content and copy.
