A Deputy Online Editor / Web Editor / Online Editor (with a keen interest in cycling) is needed to join one of Europe’s largest action sports media owners with over 4m online users each month.

Proud of their 27 year heritage in the action sports market our client publishes traditional print and new media titles that reach over 500,000 readers and 4 Million online users every month.  As the voice of a growing community of female cyclists, their Womens Cycling website offers smart writing, inspirational stories, clear how-to’s and jargon-free buying advice.  This is a unique opportunity to join their amazing team as a Deputy Online Editor.

Joining as their Deputy Online Editor / Web Editor / Online Editor you will research, produce and manage a host of in depth and deeply interesting cycling stories.  On a day-to-day basis expect to be involved with updating website content with dynamic, high quality work. This means:  increasing organic and referral traffic; increasing the number of social shares; brainstorming ways to increase user engagement; networking with professional riders; optimising content; attending events; delivering video content and much more.  In short, it will be your input that makes this action sports website the leading website in its field.

To qualify... This role is ideally suited to a Web Editor / Online Editor / Associate Editor / Content Manager / Deputy Online Editor or similar with a keen interest in Cycling and a CV that can demonstrate:

  • Experience in online journalism;
  • An eye for detail with the ability to write engaging copy;
  • A passion for cycling and bike-based sports;
  • Proven knowledge of social media and SEO;
  • Proficiency in Photoshop and WordPress.
