We are seeking an Account Director to join a global agency that is proud to include the likes of Microsoft, Land Rover, Levi’s and Nokia in their long term client list.  This an exciting opportunity that will see you take ownership of their fully rounded, BTL, EDF Energy (UK) account.

Reporting to the Global Business Director the Account Director will take on a pivotal role within the agency.  Supported in your takeover of the EDF Energy account your role will cover both acquisition and customer development as well as all disciplines from data planning and analysis, to strategic planning (a key focus) and creative concepting and delivery.  Backed by strategy and insight specialists you will be the central point of contact – taking briefs, delivering campaigns, providing consumer insights and supporting both short and long term strategic goals within the CRM and Loyalty space.

This is a ‘people account’.  Both the client and the team need an AD whose really switched on, hungry to push work forwards and can bring people and departments together.  There’s a lot of client face to face time, with several trips to their office a week, so you will need to be happy with a fair amount of client contact (in London but with scope for travel).  

To qualify...  You should be an accomplished Account Director / Senior Account Director / AD / Senior Account Manager or similar with a CV that can demonstrate:

  • Solid experience gained within a reputable marketing agency;
  • Strong CRM experience;
  • An appreciation of the role of channel – offline, digital and social;
  • Experience of organically growing a client/ account;
  • Experience of loyalty programmes is beneficial but not essential;
  • That you are a team leader;
  • A quick, strategic mind;
  • Self motivation and a proactive approach;
  • A fun and lively outlook;
  • A bright, inquisitive approach who likes looking for new solutions to problems.

Any prior experience of loyalty programmes would be advantageous.
